Tigers Play Two Against Roadrunners

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Pacific baseball program embarks on a road trip, taking on Cal State Bakersfield on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Hardt Field.

The Tigers (8-8) enter the pair of midweek matchups following three one-run contests against the Hornets. The Tigers now will go on the road for five games straight, starting with two against the Roadrunners (6-10).

Pacific has found some life in the lineup with junior Rylan Evans, who went 5-for-12 in the series with the Hornets. The Logandale, Nevada native is hitting .345, which is tied for the team lead alongside fifth year John-Howard Bobo

Junior Jake Tandy played hero last Saturday, capping a five-run eighth-inning rally with a three-run home run in what was a dramatic, come-from-behind victory for the Tigers. Tandy is now hitting .304 with four extra-base hits.

On the pitching side, Pacific has been consistent, holding a West Coast Conference-leading 4.68 earned run average through 16 contests.

The Roadrunners are coming off a series win against the Tritons, taking the Saturday and Sunday games over the weekend in La Jolla. Cal State Bakersfield opened up the season at home against Lamar, marking their only contests of 2025 at Hardt Field.

CSUB's Nick Mascaro has been on a tear lately, hitting three home runs in the series over the Tritons to elevate his average to a team-best .444.

Pacific and Cal State Bakersfield will meet for the 18th time in the series history. Pacific fell 6-0 in a home loss last Tuesday. The Tigers seek their first victory at the Roadrunners since March 6, 2021.

Both games will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
