Box Score STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific women's tennis program got off to a strong start after winning the doubles point, but UC Davis battled back in singles to snatch a 6-1 decision Saturday at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center.
Seniors
Megan Carmichael and
Alexis Sam diced their opponents up on court one to jump ahead early in doubles, and sophomores
Milena Maiorova and
Indiya McLeod followed suit shortly after with a 6-2 win on court two to give Pacific (1-3) the 1-0 lead.
The Aggies (2-5) answered though with six singles matches going their way.
The team heads out for a quick trip to San Jose State on Wednesday before returning to the home courts to face Grand Canyon on Sunday. First serve on Wednesday is slated for 12 p.m. while Sunday's first serve is at 11 a.m.
