SEATTLE, Wash. – The Pacific baseball program plays its first road series of the season, a three-game set against Seattle, beginning at 3 p.m. on Friday at Bannerwood Park. The series continues with a 2 p.m. first pitch on Saturday and a noon first pitch on Sunday.
The Tigers (6-3) enter the matchup with series wins over UC San Diego and South Dakota State at home, looking to continue that success on the road against the Redhawks (0-8).
Pacific's offense has been fueled by a plethora of players, featuring junior
Jake Tandy and his team-best .381 batting average. Redshirt senior
JT Waldon has made a name for himself in Stockton with a .360 average, a pair of home runs and nine RBIs. Fifth year
John-Howard Bobo has maintained a balanced approach, riding a .353 average into this weekend.
On the mound, the Tigers have utilized redshirt junior
Logan Drummond and senior
Adan Perez with their sub-2 ERAs through two appearances each.
Seattle enters the series with a winless mark through eight games. Most recently, Seattle lost a midweek matchup to Portland, falling in a perfect game, 8-0. This weekend marks Seattle's first series at home. Tyler Peterson paces the Redhawks' offense with a .294 clip. Reid Madariaga has a 2.45 ERA in 11.0 innings.
The Tigers and Redhawks are squared to meet for the first time in Seattle since 2020. During that series, Pacific took two of three, including a 17-1 victory in the last road meeting on March 1, 2020. The two teams crossed paths last year in Stockton where Seattle edged Pacific by a 9-5 margin.
All three games will be broadcast on WAC TV.
