ST. GEORGE, UTAH – The Pacific swim and dive program wrapped up its final day at the Trailblazer Invitational, hosted by Utah Tech at Human Performance Center Pool.
The Tigers ended the competition with the women in eighth place at 67.5 points while the men finished in third place with 688 points. San Diego State won on the women's side with 882.5 points and UC San Diego was the top men's program with 1,223 points.
Through the four days of competition in Utah, the Tigers turned in their best performance with senior
Mattia Giurgevich collected a first-place finish in the A final of the men's 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 53.90 on Friday.
Giurgevich followed up that performance with a sixth-place finish in the A final of the men's 200 yard breastroke on Saturday. In that event, sophomore
Freddie Cumming was the first Tiger to finish the race, recording a second-place nod with a time of 2:00.87.
Looking ahead, the Tigers have three weeks to rest and retool for the UNLV Invite, hosted by UNLV in Las Vegas, Nevada from Monday, Dec. 15 to Wednesday, Dec. 17.
