ST. GEORGE, UTAH – The Pacific swim and dive program steadied the course on day three of the Trailblazer Invitational, hosted by Utah Tech at Human Performance Center Pool.
The Tigers remained in the same positions as yesterday with the women in eighth place at 61.5 points and the men in third place at 450 points.
Senior
Mattia Giurgevich was a bright spot for Pacific on Friday, collecting a first-place finish in the A final of the men's 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 53.90. Giurgevich also represented one of the four legs of the men's 400 yard medley relay where the Tigers' A team notched a fourth place finish.
Freshman
Gian Carlo Bocchino also earned a first-place nod in the B final of the men's 200 yard freestyle, recording a 1:41.24 in his performance there. Sophomore
Freddie Cumming led the charge of six Tigers competing in the B final of the men's 100 yard butterfly with his time of 49.51.
On the women's side, redshirt senior
Diana Chan stood out as a winner of the C final in the women's 100 yard breastroke, clocking a time of 55.62 in that race.
The Tigers wrap up the Trailblazer Invitational tomorrow, beginning at 9 a.m. PST/10 a.m. MST with the preliminaries and the finals at 4 p.m. PST/5 p.m. MST. There is no live stream of events this week.
