Women’s Basketball Brings in Two Guards on Signing Day

STOCKTON, Calif. – Head Coach Bradley Davis and the Pacific women's basketball program went out-of-state to get the next two Tigers, announcing the signings of guards Jordyn Dyer and Bella Burcar Thursday afternoon.

"Bella and Jordyn are going to be great additions to our Tiger family," Davis said.

"As players, they bring different skill sets to the table, but they have some intangible similarities. They both have college athletics in their blood, both are championship level winners, but most of all, they both have highly contagious competitive personalities with post-season aspirations. I can't wait to get them both in the orange and black, and I know the Pacific Family will be quick fans of theirs."

Dyer, who comes to Stockton via Albuquerque, New Mexico is currently a senior at La Cueva High School where she is a three-time all-district selection, New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA) Freshman of the Year in 2022-23, New Mexico 5A leading scorer in 2024-25, and reigning First Team All-State selection. On her career, Dyer enters her senior season averaging 16.2 points per game, 7.8 rebounds per game, and 2.5 steals per game.

She also comes from a high achieving family athletically as her parents played football and softball at New Mexico State and two brothers currently play football at Western New Mexico and Arizona State respectively.

More than a prolific scorer, the 5-8 guard is a standout in the classroom, earning academic letters in all three previous seasons. Her academic plans at Pacific include pursuing either sports psychology or criminology with the intent to become either a sports psychologist or FBI Agent.

"I was really impressed with the coaching staff when I visited Pacific on my official visit. I enjoyed watching the team practice at such a high intensity level. I also really loved touring the campus - Pacific has a beautiful campus with high academic standards," Dyer said.

Meanwhile Burcar hails from Flagstaff, Arizona where she attends Perry High School for her senior year. The 5-11 guard has accolades to her name including Freshman Year MVP, Grand Canyon Region First Team, First-Team All-4A Conference and the Premier Region First Team in 2023-24. Like Dyer, Burcar comes from an athletically pedigreed family as her father, Shane, is currently the Men's Basketball Coach at Northern Arizona University.

Burcar is undecided on her college major but aspires of playing professionally before entering the D-I coaching ranks.

"I chose Pacific because of the family environment and high character people. I know the coaching staff has full belief in me and Coach Davis checked all my boxes of what I want in a head coach as far as leadership, competitiveness, and belief in his players. Everyone across campus wants to win and that's something I want to be a part of," Burcar said.

Both Dyer and Burcar will join Pacific over the summer of 2026 after their high school graduations.
