STOCKTON, Calif. – A picturesque day highlighted the fast and furious swimmers as the Pacific men's and women's swim and dive program hosted day one of the PAC Invite at the Eberhardt Aquatics Center.
Through event 25, the Tigers' women's team has 543 points, trailing UC Santa Barbara with 865 points and leading Seattle's 375. The men sit currently in third place with 360.5 points with Stanford leading the competition with 800 points. The UCSB men are in second with 479.5 and the SU men are in fourth with 305 points.
Senior
Lilliana Noriega stood out as bright spot for the Tigers in the morning, earning first place in the women's 50 free and collecting 20 points with her time of 23.80.
Sophomore
Josephine Fields also finished with a first place nod in the women's 200 free, just outpacing teammate and sophomore
Christina Agiomamitou with a time of 1:53.45.
In the final women's event of the evening portion, the Pacific A team in the women's 800 free relay took second place, clocking a total time of 7:46.87.
On the men's side, Stanford took a majority of the events in the top three spots, but sophomore Rasmussen collected a few top five performances individually and in relay events.
In the diving portion, junior
Lexxi Chavez won both events as the lone competitor, securing first place in the one-meter and three-meter diving with scores of 178.36 and 187.80 for the full 40 points.
The Tigers look ahead to hosting day two of the PAC Invite tomorrow with the final session of the meet starting at 10 a.m. from the Eberhardt Aquatics Center.
