Pacific Hosts Tri-Meet Against San Jose State, UC Santa Cruz

STOCKTON, Calif. – Fresh off a three-week break from the PAC Invite, the Pacific men's and women's swim and dive program returns to action with its first tri-meet of the season, welcoming San Jose State and UC Santa Cruz at noon on Saturday to the Eberhardt Aquatics Center.

The Tigers have had success when hosting the Spartans and Banana Slugs in the past, looking to carry over that momentum into the first of two tri-meets of the 2025-26 season. The women will suit up against both clubs while the men will only face the Banana Slugs.

There have been a number of catalysts for the Tigers early on in the season making waves. On the men's side, sophomore Nate Rasmussen has turned it up a notch this year with his performances in the season opener against Fresno Pacific where he earned three first-place nods.

The women have been led by sophomore Christina Agiomamitou, reigning Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Woman's Freshman Swimmer of the Year. Agiomamitou has amassed the most points so far in the 2025-26 season with 657.56 points.

In the series match-up with UC Santa Cruz, the Pacific women are 3-0 all-time, including a 188-88 victory last season in Santa Cruz, California while the men also hold an all-time 3-0 record after winning 169-115 last year.

The Tigers and the Spartans meet for the fifth in the series history since 2019. It will be just the second time in Stockton, California that they clash with Pacific winning the 2021 meet by a 134-128 margin.

Saturday's tri-meet will be streamed live on Overnght for the scheduled noon start time.
