STOCKTON, Calif. – Stepping up big on Homecoming, the No. 18 Pacific men's water polo program pulled out a 13-12 victory over No. 7 San Jose State on Saturday at the Eberhardt Aquatics Center.

The game was tied 7-7 at half when Pacific (8-5, 2-1 WCC) built a 13-10 lead with 3:02 remaining in the fourth quarter. San Jose State (6-5, 1-1 WCC) cut it to 13-12 in the final minute and got the ball back with one second remaining when the Tigers blocked a shot from distance to win.

Daniel Viscia came up clutch with a season-high four goals including one in each quarter to help defeat an SJSU squad that was predicted to win the league in the West Coast Conference Preseason Poll. Freshman
Borisz Kasa-Gal notched a hat trick and a pair of assists.

Petar Popovic tallied two goals and two assists. Freshman
Apostolos Georgaras submitted a goal and two assists, and sophomore
Yoav Rendler dished out three assists. Georgaras is up to a team-high 48 goals on the year and has scored in every game.

Kiss Gergely stood out with 11 saves and a steal to register the win.

Pacific is now 13-2 all-time against SJSU and won 14-6 last season on the road.

Up next, the Tigers travel to No. 8 Pepperdine for a 1 p.m. game Friday. Pacific's final home game will be played Sunday, Nov. 2 when the team hosts No. 15 Cal Baptist at 1 p.m. at the Eberhardt Aquatics Center.
