STOCKTON, Calif. – Fueled by a flock of birdies, Pacific men's golf carded its best round at home in program history, taking a commanding lead of first place after two rounds at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational on Friday at The Reserve at Spanos Park.
Across the two-day total, the Tigers (-37/263) masterfully executed their second round with a 25-under par, surpassing the previous mark for lowest team round at a Pacific-hosted tournament since Oct. 31, 2012, at Brookside Country Club. In that year, the Tigers earned a tie for second place.
This year, the Tigers stand comfortably in front as they hold a 13-stroke lead over second-place teams Colorado and UC San Diego (-24).
A trio of Tigers spearheaded the competition on Friday with senior
Ian Fritz, redshirt junior
Deitrek Gill and sophomore
