STOCKTON, Calif. – Coming off a historic fall campaign, the Pacific men's golf program was selected to finish second in the 2025 West Coast Conference Preseason Poll, as announced by the conference on Tuesday.

The Tigers earned 72 points and two first-place votes among the ten participating WCC schools, standing eight points behind Pepperdine.

The Tigers completed an impressive slate during the fall, garnering two team tournament titles (Leadership & Golf Collegiate Championship and The Goat). It marks the first time the program has won two tournaments in a season since 2013.

Sophomore Carlos Astiazaran and junior Travis Robbie carry momentum from the last few months into being named to the 2025 WCC Men's Golf Preseason Team, marking the first time a Pacific golfer has earned the accolade since 2015 (Matt Lee). Astiazaran and Robbie were voted as two of the 10 best players in the WCC by the conference's ten head coaches.

Astiazaran and Robbie claimed back-to-back individual titles for Pacific, representing the first pair of different individual champions to win during a single season in school history. Both Astiazaran and Robbie own individual scoring averages under 70 with Robbie holding a team-low of 69.13 across five events and 15 rounds.

Astiazaran, Robbie and the Tigers kick off their spring schedule in a heavily competitive field at the Amer Ari Invitational from Feb. 6-8 in Waimea, Hawaii.
