STOCKTON, Calif. – The
Pacific women's basketball program hosts two teams at the opposite ends of the West Coast Conference standings when it welcomes LMU to the Alex G. Spanos Center on Thursday at 6 p.m. and San Francisco on Saturday at 2 p.m.
The Tigers (7-10, 3-4 WCC) will be LMU's (6-7, 0-5 WCC) first game since Jan. 4 due to the ongoing fires in the southern California area. Last season, the two schools split the series with each picking up wins on their home courts – a rare occurrence in series history as both LMU and Pacific are better on the road (LMU leads 7-5 in Stockton while Pacific leads 6-5 in Los Angeles).
Sophomore
Marina Radocaj is a player to watch coming into tomorrow's matchup after scoring double figures in three straight games, posting nine rebounds in two of the past three, and amassing a career-high four blocks last time out at Saint Mary's.
San Francisco (8-8, 5-2 WCC) is part of a five-way tie atop the WCC and the first meeting with Pacific since the Tigers knocked the Dons out of the WCC tournament last season. Senior
Anaya James put together a solid performance in that game with a double-double of 14 points and 10 assists to accompany five rebounds, two blocks and three steals. Fast forward to this season and the senior is averaging 16.6 points per game over her last five and has recorded a block in three straight contests.
Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+.
