Local Business Night, Fireworks Night Highlight Home Weekend Series Against Gonzaga

STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific baseball team opens up a three-game series with a pair of themed nights on the docket against Gonzaga, beginning with Local Business Night at 6 p.m. on Friday at Klein Family Field.

Following Friday's series opener, the Tigers (8-36, 3-12 WCC) host the Bulldogs (17-24, 12-6 WCC) for Family and Youth Night on Saturday, which will feature the second fireworks night of the season at the conclusion of the game.

This week, the Tigers and Bulldogs both lost their midweek matchups ahead of the weekend series with Pacific dropping its contest, 11-1, at CSU Bakersfield on Tuesday while Gonzaga fell, 8-2, at Washington.

The Bulldogs enter the road series having lost five of their last seven games. Gonzaga earned series wins over Portland, San Francisco and Santa Clara last month.

Peyton Knowles leads the Bulldogs with a .333 batting average and a .375 batting average in conference games. Vincent Temesvary paces the Bulldogs with six home runs and 23 RBIs.

On the mound, Gonzaga is led by Justin Feld, who owns a 3.28 ERA in 11 appearances and seven starts through 46.2 innings of work.

Senior Chase Graves has been on a hot streak at the plate, raising his batting average to team-high .252 with 20 runs, 13 extra-base hits and seventeen RBIs. Graves carries a five-game hitting streak into the series.

Freshman Gabe Camacho leads the Tigers with six home runs while accompanying a .246 batting average.

Junior Jakob Guardado has found a rhythm for the Tigers on the mound, sporting a 6.14 ERA in nine starts through 44.0 innings of work. In his most recent start against LMU, Guardado went 6.0 innings, allowing just one earned run while striking out three batters.

The series will kick off Friday with a 6 p.m. first pitch. Saturday is set for a 5 p.m. first pitch and the series will close with a 1 p.m. contest on Sunday. All games will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
