SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.- Four members of the Pacific softball team garnered All-WCC recognition as the league announced its postseason awards this afternoon. Seniors
Rian Dirmeyer and
Avery Croxall were named to the All-WCC First Team, while sophomore
Olivia Silvestre and junior
Delaney Scully were selected as honorable mentions.

Brian Kolze shared. "It's always special when athletes are recognized by their peers regarding accomplishments. The hard work put in by these four has elevated them to the recognition that they deserved."
The 2024 team collected the most first team selections since 2018, where the Tigers had three selected that season. For Dirmeyer, it's her second all-conference honor since she was selected to the second team in 2022. Scully picked up her fourth overall All-WCC award, earning an honorable mention in each of her three seasons with the Tigers. In 2022, Scully was named the conference's defensive player of the year.
Avery Croxall ranked first in the WCC with a career-best ERA (1.83), while placing in the top-five in WHIP (1.02), strikeouts (68) and strikeouts per game (5.67). The senior pitcher led the Tigers with eight wins on the season and a .207 OBA, which ranked second in the conference. This season, she went for a career-high 9.0 innings pitched in the 3-2 victory over Saint Mary's, while delivering a career-high seven strikeouts against North Dakota State.
Rian Dirmeyer ranked among the top-five in the conference in batting average (.359), home runs (6), hits (56), doubles (14), and slugging percentage (.577). Defensively, the shortstop ranked sixth in the league in assists (85). Her season totals in batting average, hits and doubles were a career best for the senior. In the Tigers home debut for their Libby Matson tournament, Dirmeyer went for a season best three RBI, two runs and two hits off a tied career-high two home runs.
Delaney Scully ranked first in the WCC in putouts, tallying 343 on the season for a new career best. Her .248 batting average and 14 RBI ranked fourth on the team. The first baseman ranked third on the team in runs (18), hits (38) and slugging percentage (.359). Her nine sacrifice bunts ranked first on the team and third in the conference. In Pacific's first game against Montana this season, the junior went for a career high three hits. She also tied a career high 15 putouts in the series opener against Saint Mary's.
Olivia Silvestre stormed onto the scene in her first season with the Tigers. The left fielder ranked top-ten in the league in batting average (.340), hits (49), doubles (9), and slugging percentage (.465). She was third in the WCC in runs (34) and OBP (.470). She and Dirmeyer ranked first on the team with seven stolen bases this season. In Pacific's second game against Montana, the sophomore recorded her first collegiate home run. She tallied three total homers on the year, while going for a career-best three hits in three separate games this season.
The Tigers ended the season 17-36 overall and 6-10 in conference play to finish tied-fourth in the WCC. Dirmeyer was selected to a WCC First Team in back-to-back days after earning All-Academic distinction yesterday. Croxall and Scully were named All-Academic honorable mentions.
