GOLETA, Calif. – The Pacific men's golf team completed the opening day of the Gaucho Invitational, standing in seventh place with a four-over-par 580 on Monday at Sandpiper Golf Club.
Through two rounds, Nevada sits at the top of the team standings with a 20-under-par 556. LMU and Utah round out the podium after the opening day.
Senior
Petr Janik leads Pacific with a tie for 12th place out of the 71 participants, scoring a two-under-par 141 (70-72).
Freshman
Carlos Astiazaran (77-70) and sophomore
Timothy Jung (74-73) are tied for 32nd place with a three-over-par 147. Fifth year
Maverick Pavletich completed his opening two rounds with a six-over-par 150 (79-71).
Sophomore
Ian Fritz rounds out the team scoring with a seven-over-par 151 (73-78).
The final round of the Gaucho Invitational will take place tomorrow with tee times set for a 7:30 a.m. start time. Live scoring can be found
