STOCKTON, Calif.- The Pacific beach volleyball team heads out for another road trip, traveling up to Sacramento to take on host Sacramento State and Louisiana-Monroe on Sautrday, April 6 at 11:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. respectively.
The Tigers return having spent a busy weekend in Santa Cruz, playing four matches in two days for their conference midseason invitational. All seven conference teams made the journey to Main Beach and the Tigers faced inclement weather alongside stout competitors.
Pacific is led behind its twos pair sophomore
Josephine Kinlan and junior
Ashley Davies. The duo pace the team with three match wins on the season. Two separate fours pairs and its one pair have each tallied a win on the season.
The Tigers open the weekend taking on the Hornets before wrapping up the day with their first ever match against Louisiana-Monroe. Pacific leads the all-time series against Sacramento State 11-8, but the Hornets have turned the tide as of late. The Tigers last defeated the Hornets in 2021 after a 3-2 victory in Sacramento.
Sacramento State is 5-14 on the season and have yet to win at home. The Redhawks are 11-9 after winning their last four matches and are 4-6 on a neutral court. Pacific is in pursuit of its first road win of the season, while looking to get a win in a neutral contest as well.
