Two Non Conference Matches Make Up Weekend for Women's Tennis

STOCKTON, Calif.- The Pacific women's tennis team continues its homestand push, hosting both CSUN and Cal State Fullerton at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7 respectively.

The Tigers claimed both their matches a week ago, downing both Gonzaga and Colorado State 4-1. They've gone 3-1 to start their eight home match stretch, posting a 4-2 overall record at home on the season.

Senior Klara Kosan paces the Tigers in singles wins, holding a 9-4 record on the season from court one. She was instrumental in both wins, going 2-0 over the weekend, including capturing the 1-6, 7-5, 6-3 match clinching decision over Gonzaga. The senior captain has now won her last three matches.

Freshman Indiya McLeod improved to 9-2 on the year after winning her last two singles matches. She remains unbeaten on courts four and six. Senior Zoe Clydesdale-Eberle has the longest active singles winning streak, moving to six after a winning weekend for the fifth year. She is undefeated on court six, posting a 7-0 record.

Kosan and her partner junior Tomi Main moved to 9-5 on the season on court one doubles after their win over Colorado State. Hot on the scene after debuting together last week are duo freshman Milena Maiorova and junior Alexis Sam. They grabbed two doubles wins together from court two over the weekend.

The Tigers meet CSUN for the first time in Stockton since rejoining the West Coast Conference in 2013. The two teams last met in Northridge where the Matadors defended their home court, clinching the 5-2 win over the Tiger in 2020. Pacific hosts CSUN at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 6.

The following day, the Tigers welcome CSU Fullerton to Stockton for the first time since 2016. The Tigers are in pursuit of their first win over the Titans since 2015 after a 4-3 victory in Fullerton. Their last win at home came after a 6-1 decision in 2012. The two teams haven't met since 2019 and the Tigers hold the series 8-5 since 2006. The Titans come to town on Sunday, April 7 for an 11 a.m. match.
