LOS ANGELES, Calif.- The Pacific softball team wrapped up its series against LMU on Sunday morning taking the early lead behind senior
Rian Dirmeyer's sixth home run of the season, but the Lions grabbed a walk off run in the bottom of the seventh and the Tigers fell 2-1.
"Tough way to end the weekend, but it was still a tremendous game," head coach
Brian Kolze shared after the game. "It was the definition of a game nobody deserved to lose, especially Desi [Smith], who threw her heart out. Though we lost, I am extremely proud of how the team fought the second half of the weekend and almost came up with the split."
Dirmeyer led the Tigers with two hits and a run for her 14th multi-hit game this season and 12th two-hit game. The shortstop recorded her sixth home run of the season to open Sunday's contest and now ties-second in the WCC in home runs.

Facing two outs in the opening inning, Dirmeyer faced a 1-1 count before slamming a home run to left field. The run led the Tigers through four innings before LMU grabbed the game tying run.
