Men’s Golf Finishes Fifth at WCC Championships

BREMERTON, Wash. – The Pacific men's golf team finished the 2023-24 season on Saturday, earning a fifth-place finish after the final round of the WCC Championships at Gold Mountain Golf Club.

The Tigers shot an even-par in the tournament's final round and finished with an overall score of seven-under-par 857 (280-289-288).

San Diego won the overall team title at 31-under-par 833 (279-271-283). Pepperdine finished nine shots behind at 22-under-par, while LMU rounded out the podium at 21-under-par.

On the individual side, Pepperdine's Brady Siravo defeated Pepperdine's William Walsh and LMU's Riley Lewis in a five-hole playoff to capture the WCC Individual Championship.

Sophomore Timothy Jung finished in the top ten of the individual leaderboard after shooting a three-under-par 69 on Saturday, marking the Tigers' highest finish in the tournament.

"The team played hard this week," Pacific head coach John Cook said. "We fought hard to the finish with the elements of the weather. We had three guys under par for the tournament. We gave ourselves a chance to get into the top four and advance to the match play, but just came up a little short. We definitely got a lot of positives to build on for next year."
