LOS ANGELES, Calif.- Redshirt sophomore
Olivia Silvestre scored the lone run in the 10-1 loss to LMU behind her third career home run this season. The Tigers return tomorrow morning for a doubleheader against the Lions.
The Tigers combined for four hits on the afternoon, including Silvestre. Silvestre tallied two hits on the day, her tenth two hit game this season. Senior
Rian Dirmeyer and junior
Delaney Scully notched the other two. Dirmeyer moved to 47 recorded hits on the season to lead all Tigers.
Scully added four more putouts, bringing her total to 301 on the season. Scully leads the conference in putouts this season. Graduate student
Vanessa Strong shutout the Lions in the bottom of the second, facing three batters and striking out two.
LMU got on the board first at the bottom of the first, scoring off a two run home run. Silvestre responded with her own home run, cutting the lead in half at the top of the third. The Lions went on to score through the remaining innings, capping off the afternoon with a three run home run to end the game 10-1 in the bottom of the sixth.
The Tigers return for a doubleheader on Saturday, April 27. Game one begins at 11 a.m. with game two following directly after.
