Pavletich Paces Tigers Through Day One at WCC Championships

BREMERTON, Wash. – After day one of the West Coast Conference Championships, the Pacific men's golf team completed the first two rounds with a seven-under-par 569, standing in fifth place at Gold Mountain Golf Club. 
 
San Diego is atop the team leaderboard after earning a 26-under-par 550 through the first two days. In the individual standings, San Diego's Carson Enright leads the field with a ten-under-par 134. 
 
Fifth year Maverick Pavletich opened the day on a strong note for the Tigers, pacing all golfers after the opening round with a six-under-par 66. Pavletich finished the day in 11th place as he shot two-over-par 754 in the second round. Pavletich collected ten birdies, which ranks fifth among all golfers competing.

Maverick Pavletich – 11th – four-under-par 140 (66-74)
Timothy Jung – Tied 15th – one-under-par 143 (72-71)
Petr Janik – Tied 18th – even-par 144 (70-74)
Carlos Astiazaran – Tied 22nd –one-over-par 239 (74-71)
Ian Fritz – Tied 22nd – one-over-par 239 (72-73)
 
The Tigers will continue with the final round of the WCC Championships tomorrow with tee times beginning at 7:30 a.m. Live scoring can be found here
