Tigers Face Pepperdine in WCC Beach Volleyball Tournament

STOCKTON, Calif.- The Pacific beach volleyball team kicks off its postseason in the WCC Tournament after earning the seven seed. The Tigers face No. 2 Pepperdine in the first round with the match set for Thursday, April 25 at 10:30 a.m. at Ocean Park Beach in Santa Monica, Calif.
 
The Tigers take on the Waves for the first time this season, having not crossed paths even at the mid-season conference invitational. Pepperdine finished second in the conference behind a 19-14 record overall and earned the tournament's two seed for the third straight year. The Waves are 8-8 on a neutral court and ended the regular season on a four match winning streak.
 
Pacific comes off its home tournament, hosting Santa Clara, San Francisco, Saint Mary's and CSU Bakersfield at the Raney Sand Volleyball Courts. The Tigers have met the Waves on a neutral site five out of the last six meetings. Pepperdine leads the all-time series 6-0.
 
The winner of tomorrow's match takes on the winner of No. 3 Saint Mary's/No. 6 Portland.
