STOCKTON, Calif.- The Pacific women's tennis team wraps up an eight match homestand against Santa Clara as the Tigers hold their final home contest of 2024 on Tuesday, April 16 at 1 p.m.
Prior to the match, the team will formally recognize its two fifth year seniors,
Zoe Clydesdale-Eberle and
Klara Kosan, for a Senior Day Celebration at the Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center.
Kosan leads the Tigers with an 11-4 record from court one this season. After last week's win over San Francisco, the senior captain improved to a five singles match unbeaten streak. In doubles, her and her partner junior
Tomi Main, lead the Tigers with a 10-7 mark from court one. The pair were a pivotal piece in capturing the doubles point last week for the Tigers.
Main moved to 8-4 from court two after winning her last three singles matches. The junior clinched the match against the Dons, securing Pacific's first win over San Francisco since 2018. She's enjoying a three match win streak through the month of April.
Clydesdale-Eberle is 9-3 on the season while holding a 9-1 record from court six. The senior is 3-0 in her conference match appearances this season, with wins over Saint Mary's, Gonzaga and San Francisco.
The Tigers collected their 11th win of the season after defeating the Dons, securing the most wins by any Tiger team since returning to the West Coast Conference in 2013. With a 2-2 record in conference contests, the Tigers are 5th in the league.
The Tigers are 4-5 against the Broncos dating back to 2014, but are 4-1 over the last five matches. They last defeated Santa Clara a year ago with a 4-1 decision in Santa Clara and last beat the Broncos at home in 2018.
