LAWRENCE, Kan. – Freshman
Bryce Cruz made his first career start as the Pacific baseball team fell to Kansas, 12-3, on Saturday afternoon at Hoglund Ballpark.
The Tigers (6-28, 1-8 WCC) began with an early lead, but the bats of the Jayhawks (18-14, 7-8 Big 12) rallied from behind to claim the victory.

Rylan Evans each recorded multi-hit performances at the plate.
Cruz pitched 2.1 innings, allowing six earned runs on seven hits. Sophomore
Ryan Martinez came on in relief of Cruz, pitching his longest outing of the season (3.2 innings) and allowing just two runs on four hits.
Camacho launched his first triple of the season in the top of the first inning that plated sophomore
Jack Metcho for the game's opening run.
Kansas responded in the bottom of the frame, tying the game up at 1-1 on an RBI single.
The Jayhawks erupted for six runs in the bottom of the third inning to take a 7-1 lead, but the Tigers countered with two runs in the next half inning to make the score 7-3. Sophomore

Andre Vidal brought home Tigers with RBI hits in the top of the fourth inning.
Kansas continued to add insurance runs and ultimately secured a 12-3 victory at home.
The Tigers return to action at 11 a.m. tomorrow to conclude the three-game series against the Jayhawks.
