Women’s Tennis Closes Home Stretch with San Francisco, Santa Clara

STOCKTON, Calif.- The Pacific women's tennis team wraps up its eight match homestand with matches against San Francisco and Santa Clara on Thursday, April 11 and Saturday, April 13 respectively.

The Tigers make up their postponed match against the Dons on Thursday afternoon after rain moved the original match from the beginning of March. They now meet at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 11.

Senior Klara Kosan leads the Tigers with a 10-4 record in singles from court one. She's won her last four completed singles matches, possessing the longest active singles winning streak. Her doubles partner, junior Tomi Main, won both matches last weekend from court two. She is 7-4 on the season in singles. The duo, Kosan and Main, are 9-7 as a doubles tandem.

The Tigers are in pursuit of their first win over the Dons since 2018, last defeating San Francisco at home 4-3. The two teams have only met in Stockton twice in that time span, splitting victories with one another. San Francisco leads the series 10-6 dating back to 2006. The Dons are 7-2 since Pacific rejoined the WCC in 2013.

Pacific wraps its home schedule, hosting Santa Clara for its Senior Day on Saturday, April 13 at 11 a.m. The Tigers tied the series 8-8, dating back to 2006, after a 4-1 victory a season ago. They last defeated the Broncos at home in 2018 behind a 4-2 decision.
