STOCKTON, Calif.- The Pacific beach volleyball team travels to Santa Cruz for a two-day midseason tournament featuring conference foes at the pier's Main Beach on Friday, March 29 through Saturday, March 30.
Based on draws, the single elimination tournament begins with LMU on Friday morning before diverging into finals and consolation brackets based on outcomes. The event features all seven WCC teams and provides the Tigers ample opportunity to grab their first conference win of the season.
Format resembles much like a year ago, with Pacific in the first pool alongside LMU, Saint Mary's and San Francisco. Pepperdine, Portland and Santa Clara make up the second group. The winner of Pacific's match with LMU will face the winner of Saint Mary's and San Francisco, while the loser of match one will face the loser of match two. The top two finishers out of both sides meet in the finals bracket while the rest move to the consolation bracket.
