Softball Welcomes Southeastern Louisiana for Three Game Series; Times Changed

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Pacific softball team hosts Southeastern Louisiana for a three game series, welcoming the Lady Lions to Bill Simoni Field for the first time in program history starting with a doubleheader starting at noon on Wednesday, March 27.

The Tigers took two of its three home games against Portland State last week after heavy offense elevated the team to back-to-back wins. In their doubleheader against the Vikings, Pacific combined for 21 runs and 23 hits, including a monstrous effort in the seventh inning of game two where the Tigers had seven runs and nine hits in an inning.

Pacific is led behind sophomore Olivia Silvestre, whose .389 batting average, 35 hits and 18 runs pace the team. She's aided by junior first baseman Delaney Scully, who leads the conference with 209 putouts this season, 38 more than the next highest in the WCC. She tied a season high 12 putouts in a single game against Portland State last week.

Collecting two saves over the weekend and leading the Tigers this year from the circle is senior Avery Croxall. Her 1.29 ERA leads the team and ranks first in the conference, while her .194 OBA ranks second in the league.

The Tigers moved to 6-10 at home, while the Lady Lions are 5-3 on the road. SLU is hitting .347 as a team and its pitching personnel combine for a 1.84 ERA. Pacific is hitting .259 while holding a combined 4.35 ERA.

The series, originally scheduled for Wednesday evening, was moved in anticipation of weather heading towards the Stockton area. The doubleheader starts at noon on Wednesday, March 26 with the second game following directly after. Thursday's game the following day remains at 2 p.m.
