STOCKTON, Calif. – Pacific women's water polo sophomore Dora Alaksza was selected as Golden Coast Conference Player of the Week on Thursday.
 
The Budapest, Hungary native earned the accolade for the second time in her career. Alaksza was named Player of the Week for the first time a year ago on Feb. 2, 2023.
 
This week, the attacker had an outstanding impact in No. 20 Pacific's back to back wins. Alaksza set career-highs in three statistical categories against Cal State East Bay (Mar. 14), notching 10 points, seven goals and three assists. She went on to register six points on four goals and two assists to help the Tigers earn their first GCC win of the season against Santa Clara (Mar. 16).
 
Alaksza has scored in every contest this season and recently surpassed 100 career goals. Her performance this year landed her on the Cutino Award Watch List.
