PAUMA VALLEY, Calif. – The Pacific men's golf team finished the Pauma Valley Invitational with a 16-over-par 868 (288-295-285), positioning in 13th place of 15 teams Tuesday afternoon at Pauma Valley Country Club.
Vanderbilt earned the first-place finish in the tournament, posting a 20-under-par 832. San Diego and Oklahoma State round out the podium in second and third place, respectively.
In the individual standings, Oklahoma State's Jonas Baumgartner won the event, shooting a nine-under-par 204.
Freshman
Carlos Astiazaran paced the Tigers after the second day of the tournament, finishing in a tie for 51st place with a six-over-par 219 (74-74-71).
Wrapping up the final round with a one-under-par, sophomore
Timothy Jung scored a seven-over-par 220 (70-80-70).
Senior
Petr Janik led the Tigers through two days of the Pauma Valley Invitational, but had a setback on Tuesday and ultimately finished with an eight-over-par 221 (79-65-77).

Alex Barclay and fifth year
Maverick Pavletich each earned a ten-over-par 223. Barclay collected a 75-76-72 line while Pavletich's solid under-par first round gave him a 69-82-72 line.
Pacific returns to action on Monday, April 8, as the Tigers compete in the UCSB Collegiate Invitational.
