PAUMA VALLEY, Calif. – The Pacific men's golf team completed the first day at the Pauma Valley Invitational, standing in 14th place on Monday at the Pauma Valley Country Club.
Vanderbilt sits atop the standings through the first day with a 15-under-par 553. Oklahoma State and Oklahoma round out the podium after the opening pair of rounds.
In the individual standings, Oklahoma State's Jonas Baumgartner leads through two rounds with an eight-under-par 134.
Senior
Petr Janik paces Pacific with a tie for 38th place out of the 84 participants, scoring a two-over-par 144 (79-65). Janik's six-under-par score in the second round was the lowest score in that round.
Freshman
Carlos Astiazaran finished his first two rounds with a six-over-par 148 (74-74) while sophomore
Timothy Jung earned an eight-over-par 150 (70-80). Senior
Alex Barclay did not finish his second round, which will be resumed at 7:30 am tomorrow. Barclay currently holds an eight-over-par with one hole remaining in the second round.
Fifth year
Maverick Pavletich rounds out the team scoring with a nine-over-par 151 (69-82).
