SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif.- Sophomore Josephine Kinlan and junior Ashley Davies clinched a win on twos over Santa Clara in the 4-1 loss in Cal Poly. The Pacific beach volleyball team returned later to take on Cal Poly, but the Tigers fell 5-0 to the Mustangs.
 
The Tigers faced the Broncos for their second conference contest of the season. Davies and Kinlan took their second win over a WCC opponent this year, having previously defeated Portland at the Big West/WCC Challenge earlier this month.
 
Kinlan and Davies battled back after a first set deficit to the Broncos. The duo edged out Casey Campbell and Hailey Benesz in the final two sets to win 13-21, 21-19, 15-11 for their third pairs win together this season.
 
Senior Camdyn Albrecht and sophomore Kelea Saxton Vaka remained competitive at the one as they faced Cal Poly following Pacific's first match against Santa Clara.  Senior Miranda Baptista and graduate student Jadyn Tubbs fared similarly at fours. The two pairs kept in rhythm before the Mustangs nabbed both matches.
 
The Tigers return tomorrow for two more matches. They take on North Florida for the first time in program history before revisiting UC Davis on Sunday, March 17.
