The Tigers (8-16) and Hawkeyes (8-10) meet for the first time in program history. The two programs play twice in two days, starting the event both days at noon on Friday and Saturday respectively.
Iowa started the month of March on the road in the Bay Area. The Hawkeyes have faced a multitude of opponents in that time span, including Pacific's fellow conference-mates Saint Mary's, LMU and Santa Clara. Since March 8, the Hawkeyes have gone 2-5 in their games. Having yet to play a home game through 18 contests, Iowa is 4-6 on the road and 4-4 on a neutral field.
Sacramento State (16-8), conversely, is a season regular for the Tigers. Outside of the 2022 season, the Tigers and Hornets have met consistently for years. Pacific leads the series 17-16 as of 2006. In the last four meetings, the two programs have split games on their respective fields. A year ago, the Hornets traveled to Stockton, swiping the second game 5-0, while Pacific clinched the first 3-0.
The Tigers kick off the weekend on Friday at Bill Simoni Field taking on Iowa at noon. They return that same day at 4:30 p.m. against Sacramento State. In between Pacific's contests each day, the Hawkeyes and Hornets will play at approximately 2:15 p.m. All games featuring Pacific are available for stream on ESPN+.
