STOCKTON, Calif.- The Pacific softball team welcomes North Dakota State for a Tuesday afternoon contest with first pitch set for 2 p.m at Bill Simoni Field on March 12.
Senior
Avery Croxall collected her third win of the season, closing out both edge out victories over CSU Bakersfield without allowing a run through 5.0 total innings pitched over the weekend. She leads the conference with a .91 ERA while ranking second with a .200 OBA. Her 42 batters struck out this season ranks second in the league.
The Tigers (8-15) defense remained steadfast all weekend, foregoing errors in the final two games, while aiding in Pacific's first shutout of the season. Junior
Delaney Scully leads the WCC with 142 putouts, while junior
Kyla Eck ranks third with 46 assists.
Sophomore
Olivia Silvestre leads the team with a .400 batting average, 14 runs, 26 hits, 11 RBI and 5 stolen bases on the season. Senior
Rian Dirmeyer also leads with 11 RBI, while recording 11 runs and 21 hits. She leads the conference and the team with 5 home runs.
The Tigers look to defend their active three game winning streak at home after a series sweep over CSU Bakersfield this past weekend. It's the fourth meeting with North Dakota State since 2015 and the third time the Tigers have hosted the Bison in Stockton. The last time the two teams met was in 2017, with Pacific earning the 2-1 victory over NDSU in Fullerton, Calif.
After Tuesday's contest, Pacific prepares to host Iowa and Sacramento State for a Round Robin series on Friday, March 15 and Saturday, March 16 at Bill Simoni Field.
