STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific baseball team fell in its road opener to UC Davis, 17-3, on Tuesday afternoon at Dobbins Stadium.
The Tigers drop to 0-1 on the road and 2-6 overall on the season. The Aggies improve to 5-2 overall on the year, having played all their games at home so far.

Grant Scholzen recorded his first collegiate hit in the effort offensively for the Tigers, but the Aggies' bats proved too hot in the early going to the tune of a 14-hit, 17-run day.

JT Shank collected his first career RBIs, going 1-for-3 with a two-out, two-run single and a walk.
UC Davis struck first with three runs in the bottom of the first inning, including a two-run home run by Nick Leehey.
After two innings, the Aggies led 4-0 and chased sophomore starter
Ryan Martinez, who went 2.0 innings with four earned runs on four hits.
The floodgates opened in the bottom of the third inning as the Aggies scored ten runs to take a 14-0 lead.
Pacific scored one run in the fifth and two more in the sixth on Shank's two-RBI single, cutting into the Aggies' lead, 14-3.
UC Davis would tack on three more runs in the late stages to eventually secure a 17-3 victory.

Gabe Camacho pitched well in relief, throwing 4.0 innings and allowing just one earned run on five hits.
The Tigers return to action on Friday with a doubleheader at Sacramento State, facing the Hornets at 1 pm and Minnesota at 6 pm.
