Box Score STANFORD, Calif.- The Pacific women's tennis team claimed two doubles wins to clinch the doubles point in the 6-1 loss to No. 3 Stanford at the Taube Family Center on Friday afternoon.
 
The Tigers opened the day with a win on court three behind a 6-3 decision over the Cardinal's Connie Ma and Emma Sun by freshman Milena Maiorova and junior Liza Mladentseva. The pair improved to 2-0 from the three this season.
 
Senior Klara Kosan and junior Tomi Main clinched the point for the Tigers, downing Stanford's Angelica Blake and India Houghton 6-3 on court one. 
 
Pacific entered singles up 1-0 but the Cardinal held strong on their home court, sweeping the singles matches on all six courts.
 
Main kept close with Katherine Hui in the first set on court two, but fell 7-5, 6-1. Kosan battled #12 ranked Ma on court one, but fell 6-2, 6-3. Junior Megan Carmichael went up against #69 Valencia Xu, but came up short 6-1, 6-0.
 
The Tigers return to action back on the road to take on UC Davis on Friday, Feb. 23 at noon.
