Tigers Take on No. 3 Stanford

STOCKTON, Calif.- The Pacific women's tennis team travels for a match against No. 3 Stanford on Friday, Feb. 16 at 1:30 p.m. at the Taube Family Tennis Center.

The Tigers (1-1) return to action with two weeks in between their last match. They spent three days in Las Vegas, taking on UNLV, Youngstown State and Weber State. The final match against Weber State got canceled due to weather in the area.

Three Tigers garnered 2-0 records in their singles matches after the opening weekend in Las Vegas. Senior Klara Kosan, junior Megan Carmichael and freshman Milena Maiorova combined for six singles victories against UNLV and Youngstown State. Kosan opened the season with a 2-0 record playing at the one.

Pacific's doubles tandem, consisting of Maiorova and junior Liza Mladentseva, debuted together for the first time in the season opener against Youngstown State. The pair ended the weekend 1-0 from the three.

The Cardinal (7-1) come off a 2-1 weekend record at the ITA National Team Indoor Championship, having defeated then No. 8 Florida and No. 12 Ohio State. They fell to No. 3 Oklahoma State 4-2 on the final day of the event.

Pacific has yet to meet Stanford on the court since rejoining the WCC in 2013. Despite the proximity to one another, Friday's match marks the first home-away event for these two teams in their more recent history.

The Tigers make up for their canceled match with a head-to-head with No. 3 Stanford on Friday, Feb. 16 at 1:30 p.m.
