Men's Swimming vs. SIMON FRASER 2024

Swimming Heads to UCSB Invite, Cal Poly for Final Meets Before Conference

STOCKTON, Calif.- Pacific men's and women's swimming takes a trip to Southern California for two meets in two days, going against UC Santa Barbara on Friday, Feb. 2 and Cal Poly on Saturday, Feb. 3.

Seeing some of their best swimming the past few weeks, the Tigers have two more meets to prepare for their upcoming MPSF Championship meet at the end of February.

The Tigers reunite once again in Santa Barbara, last competing alongside one another for their senior day meet in January. The women (3-5) swam a week ago in a head-to-head meet against the Aggies in Davis. The Tiger women took seven first place finishes and six swimmers earned new personal bests.

The men (3-3) last competed against Simon Fraser in Stockton. The Tigers bested the Red Leafs in the final few races, taking the meet 137-125.

The Gauchos visited the Tigers a year ago in Stockton, taking the meet on both the men's (4-1) and women's (3-1) side. The Tiger women are 1-1 against UCSB in the past four years, last defeating the Gauchos in 2020. Pepperdine (4-8) joins both Pacific and UC Santa Barbara out of the women's side at the UC Santa Barbara Invite this Friday.

On Saturday, Pacific travels north to Cal Poly (2-5 W, 3-1 M) for its final meet of the regular season. The Mustangs traveled to Stockton a season ago, with the Tigers claiming the win on both the men's and women's side.

The UC Santa Barbara Invite begins on Friday, Feb. 2 at 5:30 p.m. Pacific's meet against Cal Poly starts at noon on Saturday, Feb. 3.
