STOCKTON, Calif. – In her first season as head coach, Mary Beth Gunn has announced the addition of two student-athletes who will be joining the Pacific women's tennis program.

Rayna Sugai will be transferring to Pacific from the University of the Redlands in Redlands, California. While there, Sugai was a top-10 singles and doubles player in the West Regional. Nationally, she was the 34th ranked singles player and was rewarded with a First Team All-Conference selection. Her efforts helped the team reach the NCAA round of sixteen and a regional final. The University finished the season ranked 17th in the country thanks in part to her efforts.

"Rayna is a dedicated tennis player and student. She is a hard worker and will fit right in with our vision for the Tiger Tennis Program. We are excited to have her join us this Spring where she can come in and have an impact on our program," Gunn said.

Sugai is set to join the team in the spring of 2025.

Pauline Lerminiaux, out of Antwerpen, Belgium, signed with the Tigers and will join in the summer of 2025. She has twice represented Belgium on the national stage at the U14 and U16 levels. This past year, Lerminiaux was a semifinalist at the 2024 ITF J60 Limelette and a quarterfinalist at the ITF J100 Maaseik tournaments. In years past, she has a doubles title to her name at the 2023 ITF J30 Merzig tournament and a finals appearance at the 2022 ITF J30 Garisart singles tournament.

"Pauline has been training and playing at a high level, and she has the tournament experience to come in and be an impact player. She will be a great asset on the court and in the classroom," Gunn said.
