FAIRFAX, Calif. – Fresh off a first-place finish at The Goat two weeks ago, the Pacific men's golf team heads to the Bay Area for the Alister MacKenzie Invitational, hosted by Cal on Monday and Tuesday at the Meadow Club.
The Tigers are coming off of their first tournament victory since 2014 where the team won by nine strokes on the east coast.
"We are looking forward to playing over in the Bay Area," head coach
John Cook said. "The team has been working hard on preparing for a busy October. We are excited to get back on the course with some confidence after playing back east.
Junior
Deitrek Gill highlights the Tigers' lineup after posting a pair of top-ten finishes on the individual leaderboard during the Palouse Collegiate and the Goat. Gill recorded a 62 on the opening round of the Goat, marking the second-lowest round ever by a Pacific golfer.
Sophomore
Carlos Astiazaran leads Pacific at the top of the lineup. Junior
Travis Robbie and junior
Timothy Jung land in the third and fourth spots, respectively. Both of them finished in a tie for third place individually at The Goat.
Sophomore
Justin Bai rounds out the lineup as he makes his third appearance of the season.
Freshman
Brasen Briones will earn a shot at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational, competing in his first event of the year as an individual.
The tournament goes for two days, beginning on Monday. The course is a Par 71 with 6,734 yards. Live scoring can be found
