Tigers Capture Six Top-Times at #9 Stanford

STANFORD, Calif. - The Pacific men's swim team raced to six new top times for 2023-24 across four events in the 181-35 loss to #9 Stanford.
 
The Tigers (2-3) opened the meet with a third place finish in the 400 medley relay, coming in at 3:26.99.
 
Junior Leland Baltazar led off the individual races for Tigers in the 50 back, clocking a 23.84 to finish in third. It was his second best time in the event this season and the time ranks among the top-five this year.
 
Following shortly after was a third place finish by junior Srboljub Filipovic in the 50 breast. The junior clocked a 26.69, the second fastest time by a Tiger this year in the event. Senior Iona Pascual improved to a season best 27.37 to claim the fourth fastest time seen this season in the 50 breast. 
 
Baltazar returned with a third place finish in the 300 free with a 2:48.50.
 
In the 50 fly, junior Mitchell Hopper earned his second best time of the season with a 22.76, just .40 seconds shy of his top time this year. Senior Aidan Vollmar joined Hopper in some quick racing, coming it at 23.61 to clock the fifth fastest time this year in the event. 
 
The meet concluded with the 400 free relay with the Tigers finishing fourth with a 3:08.57. It was the third fastest time by the Pacific A relay this season. 
 
The men's team returns to action on Sunday morning alongside the women for senior day as the Tigers host Simon Fraser for their final home meet of the season at the Douglass M. Eberhardt Aquatics Center.
