PROVO, Utah – The Pacific softball team dropped its final game of the season, falling to BYU, 8-0, Saturday afternoon at Gail Miller Field.
The Tigers (10-30, 1-14) picked up two hits during the contest as
Delaney Scully and
Allie Capello recorded singles in the top half of the fourth inning. Scully finished the season with a team-leading .300 batting average, while Capello led the Tiger freshmen and ranked second with a .277 batting average.
After two scoreless innings, the Cougars (31-14, 10-2) jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the third inning. The team quickly scored three runs in the fourth and fifth innings to solidify the victory.
Pacific concludes the 2023 season with a sixth-place finish in the West Coast Conference standings and will look to improve heading into next season.
