STOCKTON, Calif.- The Pacific women's tennis team (6-7, 1-3) dropped a close match to Cal Poly (9-7, 3-2) this afternoon, 4-2.
Despite dropping the doubles point, the Tigers look to bounce back in singles and pick up the win.Â
Sophomore
Tomi Main continued her impressive spring season and defeated her opponent in a quick 6-2, 6-0 match to even the score 1-1. Sophomore
Karina Chao dominated and went to 11-0 on the season for singles, defeating her opponent 6-4, 6-1.Â
Seniors
Danielle Zamora and
Zoe Clydesdale-Eberle both took their opponents to three sets but did not emerge victorious. Clydesdale-Eberle had her opponent on the ropes, with a 5-0 lead in the third set but could not close the match out as Cal Poly reached four points and ended play.Â
The Tigers will look to get back on track tomorrow, Saturday, April 8, when they travel to take on Saint Mary's (5-9). The first serve will be at noon.Â
