Jeremy Lea, and freshman
Rylan Evans all had two hits. Lea drove in two runs, and junior
John-Howard Bobo drove in a run.

Pacific got an early lead thanks to an RBI single from Lea to center field. Cal swung back in the bottom of the first with an RBI single down the right-field line.
The Tigers took advantage of poor defense in the top of the second, scoring a run on a throwing error from the Golden Bears' catcher. A sac fly from Bobo scored the second run of the inning, bringing in freshman
Jack Metcho.
Cal scored four straight runs, scoring once in the second, fourth, sixth and seventh innings to take a 5-3 lead heading into the eighth inning.
