Pacific Athletics This Week

STOCKTON, Calif. – Another busy spring sports week for Pacific fans to enjoy! Men's tennis hosts their alumni weekend at home. Fans can enjoy a free special event when the men's water polo team hosts the US Junior National Team for a scrimmage. Women's water polo hosts GCC rival Fresno State at home. Softball hosts a doubleheader on Saturday, and Baseball hosts Portland for a home series.

Monday, March 20 Baseball (7-10, 1-2) at CSU Bakersfield (7-10, 0-2), Hardt Field, 1 p.m. – Pacific comes off a tough series against last season's WCC champion San Diego, but they won the third game in the series 5-2. Since 2009, Pacific has a 7-6 record against CSU Bakersfield, including winning the last two games in the series 3-2 and 10-7. Fans can follow along with live stats here.
 
Wednesday, March 22 – Softball (8-13) at San Jose State (13-15, 2-1), Spartan Softball Stadium, 4 p.m. – The Tigers are coming off a doubleheader sweep against Dartmouth. Since 2006, the Tigers are 11-7 against the Spartans, including winning the last three matchups between the two teams. Fans can watch the live stream here.
  
Friday, March 24 – Women's Tennis (5-3) at San Francisco (5-5, 0-1), California Tennis Club, 11 a.m. – The Pacific women's tennis team finished its East Coast road trip 2-1 with wins over Richmond and Long Island. They'll take on San Francisco to open their conference season back on the West Coast. The Tigers are 6-9 against the Dons since 2006. 
 
Friday, March 24 – Men's Tennis (3-8, 0-1) hosts San Francisco (2-9, 01), Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center, 1 p.m. – It's alumni weekend for the Pacific men's tennis program in Stockton. The men's team returns home after a 1-2 road trip in Florida. The Tigers are 8-6 against the Dons since 2006. This game is also Faculty & Staff Appreciation Day for men's tennis.
 
Friday, March 24 – Baseball (7-10, 1-2) hosts Portland (13-6, 3-0), Klein Family Field, 6 p.m. – It's Youth Day at Klein Family Field! Bring the family out for fun at the ballpark. Kids 12 and under get in for free. The Tigers are 11-12 against the Pilots since 2014. Fans can purchase tickets to the game here or follow along with live stats here. Pacific President Christopher Callahan will be throwing out the first pitch at the game. 
 
Friday, March 24 – Men's Water Polo hosts USA Men's Jr. National Water Polo team for an exhibition scrimmage, Chris Kjeldsen Pool, 6:30 p.m. – This event is free for the public to attend and enjoy some excellent water polo action. Gates will open at 5:30, and fans can participate in a drawing for a USA Water Polo and Pacific Water Polo prize pack. The first 150 fans will receive Water Polo U thunder sticks.
 
Saturday, March 25 – Women's Beach Volleyball (0-8) vs. LMU (12-1) at the Mid-Season Invitational, Santa Cruz Main Beach, 9 a.m. – The Tigers hope to pick up some wins against some conference opponents at the tournament. The Tigers are 0-6 against the Lions.
 
Saturday, March 25 – Women's Tennis (5-3) at Santa Clara (0-9, 0-1), Degheri Tennis Center, 11 a.m. – The pacific women's tennis team finished its east coast road trip 2-1 with wins over Richmond and Long Island. The Tigers continue WCC play against the Broncos on Saturday. Pacific is 7-8 against Santa Clara since 2006, losing the last matchup with a close 4-3 finish but winning the three before that match. 
 
Saturday, March 25 - #15 Women's Water Polo (17-5, 2-1) hosts #8 Fresno State (11-7, 4-0), Chris Kjeldsen Pool, Noon – The Tigers are coming off a weekend full of three big wins against Santa Clara, #13 Harvard and #11 Michigan. It's Youth and Family Day at the Chris Kjeldsen Pool when the Tigers take on the Bulldogs in a GCC matchup. There will be a face painter, food truck and activities for family fun. Kids 12 and under can ge tinto the game for free. The Tigers are 3-3 against the Bulldogs since 2018. Fresno State won the last meeting between the two teams 10-7. The Tigers hope to continue their three-game win streak. Fans can purchase tickets to the game here, follow along with the live stream here, or live stats here. The first 100 fans receive Water Polo U lunchboxes. 
 
Saturday, March 25 – Men's Tennis (3-8, 0-1) hosts Santa Clara (8-5, 0-1), Eve Zimmerman Tennis Center, 1 p.m. – Continuing Alumni Weekend for the men's tennis program. The Tigers continue conference play against the Broncos. Since 2009, the Tigers are 5-7 against their WCC rival. The Tigers fell 4-1 the last time the two teams met. 
 
Saturday, March 25 – Softball (8-13) hosts Sacramento State (14-9), Bill Simoni Field, 1 p.m. (Doubleheader) – Since 2006, the Tigers have a 16-15 advantage over the Hornets. The two teams last met in February, and the Tigers fell 7-2. Fans can purchase tickets for the doubleheader here, watch the live stream here, or follow along with live stats here.
