STOCKTON, Calif. – The final week of the nonconference season includes one home game each for the Pacific basketball teams. West Coast Conference basketball play begins Thursday, Jan. 4 when the women play at Saint Mary's and the men host San Francisco.

Saturday, Dec. 30 – Men's Basketball hosts Cal Maritime, 2 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 31 – Women's Basketball hosts Columbia, 2 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 30 – Men's Basketball (5-9) hosts Cal Maritime (0-11), 2 p.m. – The Tigers will host the Keelhaulers in the first meeting between the two Northern California programs. An NAIA program in Vallejo, Cal Maritime will play the game as an exhibition. It's the first game for the Keelhaulers since December 8. For Pacific, this is the final non-conference contest.
Sunday, Dec. 31 – Women's Basketball (8-4) hosts Columbia (7-4), 2 p.m. – The Tigers close out the non-conference schedule by hosting their second Ivy League opponent of the year. Pacific beat Yale, 66-59, back on November 20. Columbia was picked second in the preseason Ivy League coaches poll. Yale was picked fifth. Like Yale, this is the first time the two programs have met. The Lions have played a tough schedule with losses to Duke, Georgia and Florida. Columbia has wins over Villanova, Memphis and Providence. The Lions will play at San Francisco Thursday prior to visiting Stockton.
