STOCKTON, Calif. - Haley Trent joined the Pacific softball coaching staff in September 2023. She will focus on infield play and hitting for the Tigers.

The former Fresno State Bulldog spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at Arizona State. She was on the Oakdale High softball staff in 2023, including serving as head coach of the freshman team.

"We are extremely excited to add Haley to our staff," said head coach Brian Kolze. "Her experience with successful programs and her background at all levels as a player and coach are something we feel our current athletes will benefit from immediately."

During her time on the softball staff at Arizona State, the Sun Devil program went to back-to-back NCAA regionals and advanced to the super regionals in 2022. The program was 33-16 in 2021 and 43-11 in 2022.

At Fresno State, the infielder Haley Fuller moved into the starting lineup at third base midway through her freshman season. She was limited to five games her sophomore year but started the season finale at third. As a junior, she was a 16-game starter, playing in 33 games, helping the team to 37 wins, the high point of her career.

She was a 25-game starter as a senior in 2020, helping the team to a 21-4 start before the season was shut down by COVID. The Bulldogs had a composite 124-70 record over her four years. She was a four-time Mountain West Scholar-Athlete award winner.

At Oakdale, she helped the Mustangs to the 2013 Valley Oak League title and the 2014 section championship. She was a first-team all-league choice in 2016 after earning second-team honors in 2015.

Trent graduated from California State University Fresno with a bachelor's degree in criminology with a focus on forensic behavior sciences in 2020 and earned a master's degree in forensic psychology from Arizona State University in 2022. She worked as a mitigation investigator in Tulare County prior to accepting the position at Pacific.
