STOCKTON, Calif. – This week will be stuffed with both turkey and basketball as the Tigers host eight games in the Alex G. Spanos Center during Thanksgiving week, including Monday's men's and women's doubleheader, the four-team women's basketball Tiger Turkey Tipoff and two late week men's basketball contests.

Monday, Nov. 20 – Women's Basketball (2-1) hosts Yale (0-4), 5:30 p.m. – The Tiger women's team opens the only Pacific doubleheader on this year's schedule by facing Yale for the first time in program history. The Bulldogs are on a West Coast swing that will including a game Tuesday at San Francisco. Yale is picked fifth in the eight-team Ivy League. Fans with a ticket for the women's game will be invited to stay for the men's contest by moving to open seating. Senior
Liz Smith leads the team at 17.3 points per game, which ranks fourth among WCC players.
Cecilia Holmberg and
Anaya James also have double-figure scoring averages. The basketball programs will be collecting food on this first day of Thanksgiving week and will be providing Native American Heritage recognition. Pacific is 2-0 at home with wins over CSU Fullerton and CSU Bakersfield.
Monday, Nov. 20 – Men's Basketball (2-2) hosts North Dakota (2-1), 8 p.m. – The Pacific men's team will wrap up the doubleheader by hosting the Fighting Hawks for the second year. Last year, Pacific shot a season-best 62.5 percent from the field in a 93-63 win in Grand Forks. Junior
Cam Denson had a Pacific career-high 16 points in the win. North Dakota, picked fifth in the Summit League, opened the season with a loss to Iowa and a win over Elon. Seniors
Donovan Williams and
Judson Martindale lead the team in scoring at 11 points per game. Fans with tickets to the men's game can attend the women's contest, which tips off at 5:30 p.m. and can sit in any section other than Section I.

Friday, Nov. 24 – Women's Basketball hosts Tiger Turkey Tipoff vs. Butler (2-1), 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. – The four-team tournament will tip off with St. Thomas (2-1) facing UC Irvine at 1 p.m. followed by the Tigers and Bulldogs. It will be Pacific's the first women's basketball contest with Butler. The Bulldogs have a wins over Austin Peay and Detroit Mercy and loss to Iowa State. Butler was picked eighth in the Big East preseason poll.
Friday, Nov. 24 – Men's Basketball hosts Le Moyne (1-4), 7 p.m. – Pacific hosts NCAA Division I newcomer Le Moyne, a Jesuit university from Syracuse, in the final game of the Dolphins' four-game California swing. After a 1-2 start on the year that included losses at Georgetown and Villanova, Le Moyne lost at San Diego and UC Santa Barbara before facing Cal State Northridge and Pacific. The first-year Northeast Conference program was picked ninth in the preseason poll.
Saturday, Nov. 25 – Women's Basketball hosts Tiger Turkey Tipoff vs. UC Irvine (1-2), 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. – On the second day of the tournament, St. Thomas will face Butler in the 1 p.m. contest followed by a matchup of former league rivals, UC Irvine and Pacific. The two have not played since Pacific left the Big West with the Tigers winning the last three contests and holding a 35-29 edge in the series. Irvine has a win over Seattle and losses on the road to Saint Mary's and Pepperdine. After winning the Big West regular-season title a year ago, the Anteaters were picked second in the preseason poll, behind Hawaii.
Sunday, Nov. 26 – Men's Basketball hosts Mississippi Valley State (0-4), 2 p.m. – The Delta Devils open the 2023-24 season with 13 straight non-conference road games. MVSU has lost to LSU, Oklahoma, UConn and TCU to date with a Santa Clara and CSU Fullerton game before the matchup in the Spanos Center. The team will play at Gonzaga on December 11 and at San Francisco on December 30. The Delta Devils were picked 12
th in the Southwestern Athletic Conference preseason poll. The most famous MVSU alum? Likley NFL Hall of Famer Jerry Rice.
