STOCKTON, Calif -- Last Friday, the Pacific Athletic Foundation (PAF), celebrated the 24th Annual Orange & Black Ball, presented by Kaiser Permanente, on the Stockton campus in the Janssen-Lagorio Gymnasium. The annual event, which kicked off Pacific's Homecoming and Family Weekend, attracted over 600 donors, alumni, and fans to support Pacific Athletics. This year's celebration was a huge success setting records in many aspects of the event, including raising $290,000 for Pacific Athletics - more than doubling the previous record set in 2021.

The Orange & Black Ball, which has become one of the premier events in the community, began with the welcoming of all guests by Pacific's student-athletes, followed by an opportunity to mingle with coaches and staff, participate in a silent and live auction, sample a variety of beer and wine options from local vendors, enjoy a gourmet dinner, enter a raffle drawing, and listen to live entertainment to conclude the night. 

The evening also featured a Fund-a-Need appeal to enhance academic support for our student-athletes in the form of additional tutors and academic specialists, increasing academic achievement and retention, as well as to enhance recruitment efforts. Due to the generosity of the guests and thanks to a matching gift donated by Watts Equipment, a record $93,000 was raised to support this cause!?

Led by title sponsor Kaiser Permanente, event sponsorships generated a record $121,000.

The 25th Annual Orange & Black Ball is scheduled for Friday, October 11, 2024.
