STOCKTON, Calif. -- Men's soccer and men's water polo host key home games this week. It's the first WCC home game for the soccer squad. The water polo contest is a rematch of the 2022 NCAA Tournament first-round contest, which was won by the Tigers.

Wednesday, Oct. 4 – Women's Soccer (6-5-1, 0-1) at Pepperdine (3-3-5, 0-1), 3 p.m. – The Tigers make their first WCC road trip of the season. The Waves are among the top programs in the WCC, playing in the NCAA Tournament 11 times since making its first appearance in 2001, most recently in 2021. Pepperdine was picked third in the preseason poll. The Waves lost their WCC opener to favorite #18 Santa Clara, 1-0. Pacific dropped a 4-0 decision to Portland in its opener.
Thursday, Oct. 5 – Monday, Oct. 9 – Men's Tennis at ITA Regionals – Pacific heads to the regional event in Berkeley where senior
Ran Amar won the singles event a year ago and advanced to the ITA Super Regionals. Last week in the UC Davis Invitational, sophomore
Tiago Silva won the top singles flight with four wins without a loss.
Thursday, Oct. 5 – Volleyball (10-5, 2-1) at Loyola Marymount (10-4, 3-1), 7 p.m. – Pacific takes a two-match road trip to Southern California, starting at LMU, The Tigers and Lions are the top two scoring teams in the WCC. Pacific swept its first two WCC home matches last week, defeating San Francisco, 3-2, and Santa Clara, 3-0, to run its home record to 6-0 and its home court win streak to eight. The Lions were picked third in the WCC preseason poll, one spot ahead of the Tigers. Both teams have a loss to Pepperdine this season.
Friday, Oct. 6 – Sunday, Oct. 8 – Women's Tennis at Women of Troy Invite – Pacific will take five Tigers to the event in Marks Stadium, competing against Utah, Loyola Marymount, UCLA, UC Santa Barbara and the host Trojans. Last week, the Tigers competed in the Cal Fall Invite in Berkeley.
Saturday, Oct. 7 – Volleyball at #13 San Diego (7-6, 3-0), noon – The Tigers take on the defending WCC champs in Jenny Craig Pavilion. The Toreros, who advanced to the NCAA semifinals a year ago, have not lost a set against WCC opponents this year going into Thursday's match with Santa Clara. Fifth-year senior

Saturday, Oct. 7 – Women's Soccer at San Diego (1-9-1, 0-1), 1 p.m. – The Tigers knocked off the Toreros, 3-0, last year in Stockton, the first win by the Pacific program over San Diego women's soccer since joining the WCC in 2013. The Toreros dropped their WCC opener to Gonzaga.
Saturday, Oct. 7 – Softball at Nevada, 1 p.m. – The softball season opens the fall season on the road. Fall competition does not count on the team's win-loss record.
Saturday, Oct. 7 – Men's Soccer (4-3-3, 0-1) hosts Loyola Marymount (5-1-4, 1-0), Knoles Field, 7 p.m. – Two teams that opened the WCC in the Northwest meet at Knoles Field. Pacific dropped a 4-0 decision at #11 Portland, while LMU bested Gonzaga, 1-0. The Tigers won two of the last three matches with the Lions in Stockton, the only loss coming in overtime. LMU was tabbed third in the WCC preseason poll; Pacific, sixth.
Sunday, Oct. 8 – #10 Men's Water Polo (9-3) hosts #8 UC Davis (11-6), Eberhardt Aquatics Center, 1 p.m. – The Tigers return home after a 4-0 mark at the Gary Troyer Tournament and a Sunday match with USC to host rival UC Davis. The two teams met in the opening round of the 2022 NCAA Tournament at California with Pacific earning an 11-7 win for the program's 22nd victory of the year. Both teams have losses to California, UCLA and USC. The Aggies have also lost to Pepperdine, San Jose State and Long Beach State before winning four straight last weekend.
Monday, Oct. 9 – Tuesday, Oct. 10 – Men's Golf at Oregon State Invitational – Pacific returns to action for its third competition of the fall semester after a fourth-place finish in the 14-team Nick Watney Invitational in Fresno last week. The Tigers finished 25 shots under par in the three-round event, including 12 under on the final day. Four Pacific players recorded tournament scores under par, including freshman
Carlos Astiazaran, who was 10 under (67-71-65) and sophomore
Timothy Jung, nine under (69-67-69).
Women's Swimming – Pacific opened the season at Cal State East Bay. The Tigers had six individual winners, but fell 149-113 to the Pioneers.
Women's Cross Country – The Tigers placed seventh of nine teams at the Pacific Collegiate Invitational, run on Lodi's Micke Grove Golf Course.
