STOCKTON, Calif. – After back-to-back games over homecoming weekend, the #14 Pacific men's water polo team (9-6, 0-1 WCC) stays home to host #17 Fordham (14-3, 9-0 MAWPC) at Chris Kjeldsen Pool at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 18. The Tigers look to rebound with another top-20 matchup on the docket before heading to the three-day Julian Fraser Memorial tournament in Santa Clara this weekend.
The Tigers continue their onslaught of games against ACWPC ranked opponents and seek a key victory at home over the Rams. A year prior, Pacific met Fordham for the first time in Providence, R.I. during the Bruno Classic, where the Tigers bested the Rams 13-7.
In last year's contest, three Tigers netted hat tricks, while outscoring Fordham 6-1 in the second half, which included a fourth quarter shutout en route to their victory.
This year, the Rams are enjoying an active ten game winning streak. In that time span, they downed #19 Navy twice, while maintaining their perfect 27-0 conference record, which dates to the end of their 2021 season. They are 3-2 against ranked opponents this year, with wins over Harvard and Navy.
